A perfect example of a business model with feeling…. Humanitarian effort to help everyone be a part of something beneficial to themselves and to others. Life will have ups and downs, it’s how we learn from the situations we’ve been in and behave when the next situation comes around. Helping others will always be a role I look forward to.

This Give for Good, I challenge you to give back to the Kentucky Science Center that gave you so many memories (just like the memory in this picture I took of Grace when she was itty bitty!)Some of the reasons I think it is important to donate $10+ today:**Inspiring Future Scientists**: Donations help fund educational programs that inspire children and adults to explore and pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). Without these scientists, the world would be vastly different!**Community Engagement**: Contributions support outreach initiatives that bring science education to underserved communities, making learning accessible to everyone in Kentucky.**Innovative Exhibits**: Your donation helps maintain and develop cutting-edge exhibits that spark curiosity and provide hands-on learning experiences for all visitors.**Access for All**:Contributions allow the Science Center to offer a freeCommunity Access membershipto those who might not otherwise afford to visit, ensuring science education is available to everyone.**Supporting Local Economy**: Your Kentucky Science Center is a significant cultural institution in Louisville, attracting tourists and contributing to the local economy. Your donation helps keep this vibrant community asset thriving. These reasons just scratch the surface of the broad impact your $10+ donation can have, from supporting education to benefiting the wider community. What is the value of ”Take Your Daughter to Work Day? We think it is education and empathy, so the child knows what the parent does daily, but it is so much more. It instills lifelong work values. Meahgan Gibson attended a “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” at .To this day she reminds me of a few choice words I stated during a staff meeting but she also pursued a career in Leisure and Hospitality. More importantly she picked up values like; everybody is critical to success (especially the lowest paid hourly associates), every person has a story, treat people with dignity and respect, and if they have a name tag, user their name. Grow by trying new things that others shy away from. Powerful words are “thank you” and “can you help me”, and assisting others even if you do not have time. Today this was in my feed. I had no idea she was working on this. Biscuits and socks, who knew? But more importantly, a young professional (from a generation many professionals belittle) leading a project that reflects well on the brand and does good for the community. Also hats off to Dennis Pfaff, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Cracker Barrel for creating an organization culture where young professional growth occurs. Take your daughter to work and as a leader, your relationships matter more than you know.#cio #leadership

The challenges facing young people today are tough. 1 in10 are disengaged from education, training and employment, 1 in 4 have mental health challenges and tragically, more young people die from suicide than any other cause. Young people need our help! That’s why on Friday, 6 September I will be joining TRACTION and 30 other business and public sector industry leaders at the CEO Bike Build to support early intervention support programs for 12–15-year-olds in our community. TRACTION builds powerful pathways for young people to reach their full potential. They deliver evidence-informed, hands-on learning and mentoring programs, to help young people engage in education and build the resilience and skills they need to thrive. I am asking for your support to raise funds for the TRACTION CEO Bike Build and build awareness for the challenges facing young people in Southeast Queensland, and the impact early-intervention programs can have in changing the trajectory of a life. Please help support this great cause, and support more young Queenslanders by donating today:https://lnkd.in/gZUCWEfD

#TexasLionsCampContact us1-830-896-8500 or 1-830-896-36664100 San Antonio Hwy | Kerrville, Texas 78028 tlc@lionscamp.com#DonateNowhttps://lnkd.in/gqxjmkHbGiving MattersFirst of all, thank you for even considering making a gift to support the work of Texas Lions Camp. If it were not for the generosity of so many gracious donors, Texas Lions Camp would have never become a reality nor would it have flourished for over 70 years.Almost every activity at TLC requires more than one person to accompish - the premise being that we are not meant to be alone in life and can accomplish great things when we work together. The same is true of our donors and donations. Not only is participation in the context of a team an important life skill, but it is a pathway to the self-esteem, boosting multiplier of helping others accomplish their goals. Almost seven decades of experience has taught that children who invest in the success of others experience a heightened sense of self-worth and a renewed sense of purpose.Did you know that it is a proven fact that those who give charitably live longer, more fulfilled lives than those who don't give? Your donations make camp possible and that makes life lessons and self-esteem promoting activities possible for the campers of TLC.It is also too big of a task for any one person, and that's why every gift matters and makes you part of Team-TLC!Our campers graduate week after week, having been introduced to actively pursuing friendships, goals, teamwork and a passion we have found translates to life-long lessons for leading successful and purposeful lives. As a donor, you have a share in making that possible.

Hello LinkedIn Community,I'm Shane from Spokane, and I'm thrilled to share a cause that's close to my heart. While I've built my career in medical device sales, my true passion lies in the potential of collective goodwill through my non-profit, 'Sow A Seed' ([www.sowaseed.org](http://www.sowaseed.org)).Here’s our simple, powerful idea: With just $5, you can help fund a mission trip, and at the same time, virtually go along yourself... Fully funded missions are captured on video by our volunteer videographers, upon completion of the mission, you receive an immersive video connecting you directly to the impact of your donation.I’m reaching out for two reasons:1. *Connection*: If you're drawn to making a difference and have skills or insights, especially in non-profit growth and operations, let’s talk. 2. *Collaboration*: If you're a videographer willing to volunteer, we’ll ensure your expenses are covered as you help us tell the story of change. At 'Sow A Seed,' 100% of your donations go to the missions, with no salaries or administrative costs deducted. We're in this not for profit, but for impact. If you feel a spark of interest, let's ignite it together. Reach out, connect, and perhaps introduce us to others who align with our mission. Remember, it's the power of many small deeds that creates the greatest change. Will you join us in planting seeds of change?Best,ShanePlanting seeds and harvesting hope!

Did you know?Oftentimes, the skin cancers we get as adults are results from theburns we got as kids? Or that in most states you can’t bring sunscreen to school without a doctor’s note because it's classified as a "drug"? We wanna change that. ☀ So, we decided to figure out a new way for kids to get the protection they need while out playin’ in the sun, by launching our PTG (Protect the Groms) Shade Structure Grant program. PTG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that partners with public and charter elementary schools and nonprofits dedicated to outdoor experiences around the country to provide playground shade structures, sun safety education and sunscreen to kids who live and play in the sun. To top it all off, when you shop on our Sun Bum website, 1% of your purchase goes to PTG, and when you shop at our Concept Shop in Encinitas, 100% of your purchase goes to PTG! 💛 If you want to learn more head to the website or drop a question in the comments.
