She retired from the Richmond State Hospital, and formerly worked for AVCO, Noah's Ark Day Care and Miami University, She was a 1959 graduate of Dixon rael High School. Survivors include her six children, Tim (Joan) McDivitt of Connersville, Randy McDivitt of Richmond, Laura McDivitt of Pawtucket, R.I., Greg McDivitt Fayetteville, Jon (Carey) McDivitt of Vero Beach, and Kristin McDivitt of Richmond; eight grandchildren, Daryl McDivitt Windsor, Ami McDivitt, Solomon McDivitt, Haley Caldwell, Jakob Caldwell, Keaton McDivitt, Maggie McDivitt and Savannah McDivitt; and one great-grandson, Nicholas Windsor; four sisters, Barbara (Bill) Moreland of Camden, Ohio, Terry (Jim) Stephen of Liberty, Phyllis Ingram of Eaton, Ohio, and Carolyn (Sam) Cash of Liberty; nieces and nephews; her beloved friend, Kathy Reece of Connersville; and her beloved pets, Hannah and Riley. She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Charles "Chuck" Tucker.

Raymond J. Stevens Raymond Joseph Stevens, 94, Centerville, passed away Dec. 9,2010. He was born July 17, 1916, in Oak Lawn, the son of the late Leo A. and Clotilde Rabig Stevens.
He was an accomplished musician and played tenor saxophone and clarinet for many of the Chicago, "big bands" during the '30s and '40s. He performed with and wrote music arrangements for the following bands: Dick Carlton, Johnny Gilbert, Art Mooney, Ray Pearl and Everett Hoagland. Ray served in Company Battalion 384 in North Africa and Italy during World War II. Following his discharge, he attended Butler University, Indianapolis, where he received his BA degree. He eventually retired as director of advertising for Farm Bureau of Indiana.
During his stint in the U.S. Army during World War II, he played with Andre Kostelanetz when he and his band toured in North Africa. While serving in Casablanca, North Africa, Ray played with a band that performed in "Ric's Americain Bar," the bar that was featured in the movie "Casablanca." Survivorsincludehisnieces and husbands, Diane and John Lebo, Richmond, Lynn and Robert Herklotz, Fairfax, stepgranddaughters, Wanna Kay Freeman, Lebanon, and Linda Newton of Eminence, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mable Johnson Stevens; sister, Leona Stevens Porter; stepson, Robert Grable; and stepdaughter, Ann Lowe. Services was Monday, Dec.

Whitaker Leona May Whitaker, age 89, of Cambridge City, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at her residence. She was born on June 17, 1921, in Fleming, to Gilbert and Mammie Hurst Caudill. Leona was a caregiver in home health care for over 20 years. She was a Christian and loved her cats.

WOOD Re ba was born on Oct. 15, 1916, to the late Dorsey E. and Belva N. (Study) Thurston. Reba was a 1934 graduate of Williamsburg High School.
She was a longtime member of the New Madison United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school for more than 50 years. Reba loved children and hundreds of kids learned about Christ's love through her dedication. Reba also volunteered for Wayne Health Care for many years. In addition to her parents, Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, in June 1981; two brothers, Herbert Thurston and Robert Thurston; and two sisters, Delia Benner and Jeanette McElwain. Reba is survived by two sons, David (Roxanna) Wood of Enon, Ohio, and Larry (Linda) Wood of New Madison; a sister, Elsie Schultz of Beulah, a brother, Ernest Thurston of Oneco, a brother-in-law, John Wood of Clayton, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Hubbell Grace M. Hubbell, age 78, of Richmond, died Tuesday morning (Dec. 14, 2010) at Rose Gate Village. She was born in New York City on March 3, 1932, to Sam and Marie Cela and had lived here most of her life. She was a graduate of Richmond High School.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Church. Her husband, Keith Hubbell, died in 1996.
