(Guinn) McFarland and was a graduate of Marion High School. Edward married Donna M. Velarde on August 19, 1966. He received his bachelor's degree from Indiana University East and his Doctor of Divinity from Earlham School of Religion and Bethany Seminary. He was a journeyman electrician, IBEW, for over 57 years and a member of the Wayne County Ministerial Association. An avid tennis player in her day and a bird watcher, Jo was an adventurer and loved to travel, having visited all seven continents in her lifetime. Jo was a lover of animals, books, and pottery.
