Today, we’re looking at the best All-Star teams in NBA 2K25. These teams consist of classic and current players who have made their mark in basketball history. Through these lineups, we can play as the real All-Star teams from this year or fictional All-Time and All-Decade teams consisting of the best players from those times or specific teams.

NBA 2K25 only allows you to play as an All-Star team in Play Now, where you can either play against friends or an AI. NBA 2K used to have an All-Star Team Up game mode, where you could team up with friends to play against others online. However, this game mode has been removed.

Our list of the best All-Star teams in NBA 2K25 includes every playable team in the game, not just the 2025 All-Star teams. This information is most useful for people who want to play with friends and family in split-screen or private lobbies.

Some legendary players are missing from these teams. Read our article here to see who didn’t make it into NBA 2K25.

1. All-Decade 2000s All-Stars

Conference: Mixed
Overall: 99
Inside Scoring: 90
Outside Scoring: 80
Athleticism: 86
Playmaking: 66
Defending: 86
Rebounding: 78
Intangibles: 76
Potential: 99
Best Overall Player: 99 Kevin Garnett

The All-Decade 2000s All-Stars showcase how memorable the 2000s were for NBA history. The entire team is full of Hall-of-Famers whose impact on the game is clear to see even today. LeBron James leads the team with his incredible Athleticism stats. Kobe Bryant is the player you want to look for when shooting from downtown, and Shaquille O’Neal backs him up with excellent Inside Scoring and Rebounding stats.

Kevin Garnett is the best overall player with great all-around stats, but you may want to put others in your starting five if you know how best to use each player in their position. For instance, you have 7-foot-6 Yao Ming on the bench and Dwyane Wade with a 94 Playmaking rating.

In addition, 99 Dirk Nowitzki, 97 Allen Iverson, and 96 Vince Carter ensure this team will never have a weak point. There’s a bit of a kick of seeing Shaq and Time Duncan swapping positions on the same team after being on opposite teams through one of the biggest basketball rivalries of the era.

It’s interesting to see that the average score of the top 8 players’ Playmaking abilities is the lowest on this list. This is mainly because the top 8 has a number of Power Forward/Center players whose stats bring this number way down. Don’t let this stat make you think this team has a weakness, though, because players in important playmaking roles have brilliant stats, like Steve Nash, who has a 97 Playmaking rating.

2. All-Decades 1980s All-Stars

Conference: Mixed
Overall: 98
Inside Scoring: 85
Outside Scoring: 95
Athleticism: 90
Playmaking: 88
Defending: 83
Rebounding: 79
Intangibles: 66
Potential: 98
Best Overall Player: 99 Magic Johnson

It might be surprising to see this lineup of players placing second on this list, but these first two options are so close that either team deserves to take the top spot. The 1980s All-Star team has every one of its members in the NBA’s Hall of Fame. The team is led by 99-rated Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird. Although Jordan is better at his position, Magic Johnson takes the best overall spot due to his all-around abilities.

This team also features one of the best Outside Scoring-rated players: Larry Bird. He’s a 99 overall and has a 99 Close Shot, Mid-Range Shot, Three-Point Shot, and Shot IQ rating. So, this might be the team for you if you’re looking for a player with the easiest shooting abilities. You’ll also get Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Moses Malone to support Bird as the Center of the team. Both players have incredible Inside Scoring and Rebound abilities.

Across the top 8 players, you get an Outside Scoring rating of 95. This is the best rating on this list, and it tells us that the 1980s All-Stars team would be the one to choose if you wanted to run up the score with three-pointers.

3. All-Decade 2010s All-Stars

Conference: Mixed
Overall: 98
Inside Scoring: 69
Outside Scoring: 93
Athleticism: 87
Playmaking: 92
Defending: 73
Rebounding: 64
Intangibles: 65
Potential: 98
Best Overall Player: 99 Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant takes the best overall player slot because he is the only Hall of Famer on this list. However, the entire team is stacked with players who are bound to make it onto the NBA HOF honors list. Joining the 99-rated Kobe, you also have 99 LeBron James and Stephen Curry, one of the best PGs in modern times. With a 95 Outside Scoring rating, including a 99 Three-Pointer Shot rating and a 95 Playmaking rating, Curry will be a key player on this team.

The one noticeable weakness (is it really a weakness when the players have such high ratings?) with this team is the lack of an exceptional center. You get to choose from a 94-rated Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard. Howard is the tallest on the team at 6-foot-11 and has a 99 Rebound and 97 Driving Dunk rating. To get the most out of this team, you’ll want to take advantage of the high Outside Scoring potential and get Howard to pick up the occasional rebound that is not drained from deep.

In addition to these players, you also get Dwyane Wade, Kevin Durant, and Chris Paul. All these players will make it a hard choice for who to have in your starting five, especially when you have Harden and Giannis, who are hard to ignore.

4. All-Time Los Angeles Lakers

Conference: Western
Overall: 97
Inside Scoring: 83
Outside Scoring: 84
Athleticism: 87
Playmaking: 82
Defending: 84
Rebounding: 76
Intangibles: 75
Potential: 97
Best Overall Player: 99 Magic Johnson

The All-Time Los Angeles Lakers take the fourth spot, solidifying the Lakers’ status as one of the most iconic teams in NBA history. This All-Time team allows us to choose players from different time periods. Placing Kobe and Magic Johnson together and swapping out Shaq for Kareem is a dream for any basketball player’s fantasy, especially if you are from LA.

Even though the Lakers have fewer titles than the Boston Celtics, the variety of players that came through this iconic team puts this team high on the list. Almost every player in this lineup is a Hall of Famer, including beloved players like Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, and James Worthy. LeBron James is bound to be added to this list once he retires from the sport.

In NBA 2K25, the All-Time Lakers have a deep bench that allows you to set up your team for several different play styles. You can play the inside-out game with Shaq or take control of LeBron’s wizardry. Also, with the Lakers’ recent trade for Luka Doncic, you get one of the best modern players joining the squad.

5. All-Decade 1990s All-Stars

Conference: Mixed
Overall: 97
Inside Scoring: 89
Outside Scoring: 91
Athleticism: 84
Playmaking: 74
Defending: 85
Rebounding: 79
Intangibles: 69
Potential: 97
Best Overall Player: 99 Hakeen Olajuwon

Unsurprisingly, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman all make the 1990s All-Stars. On top of the Bulls alumni, the 1990s All-Stars are dotted with excellent players at every possible position. Thanks to his incredible mix of inside and outside scoring, Hakeem Olajuwon takes the center position over Shaq. His defense stats are what really shine, though, giving you a shark inside your own paint. This is shown through his 99 Interior Defense rating and 98 Defense IQ, and Pass Perception.

Adding to these brilliant players are Karl Malone and John Stockton, a legendary duo that has gone down in history as one of the best partnerships. The offensive skill of the 1990s All-Stars put their Inside and Outside Shooting ratings among the best-balanced on this list. An average 85 Defending rating complements its offense with equally strong defense.

6. All-Decade 1960s All-Stars

Conference: Mixed
Overall: 97
Inside Scoring: 79
Outside Scoring: 89
Athleticism: 89
Playmaking: 82
Defending: 80
Rebounding: 85
Intangibles: 78
Potential: 97
Best Overall Player: 99 Wilt Chamberlain

Now we’re going way back to the oldest team in NBA 2K25. I would be surprised if anyone currently playing NBA 2K25 remembers these teams at the time. But we still know many of these names are celebrated as heroes in some of our favorite franchises. The dominating center, Wilt Chamberlain, takes the best overall spot thanks to his offensive skills and athleticism.

You will also know Jerry West and Oscar Robertson, both of whom have been given respect with 98 overall ratings and are demons on offense. West’s teammate, Elgin Baylor, also gets credited with a 97 rating and great all-around skills. Bob Cousy also makes it into this lineup with a 96 overall rating.

The 1960s All-Stars have 13 players on the roster, and the lowest one is rated at 91 overall. So, even though this list is long, any one of these players will make you feel like you’re playing the game on “easy” mode.

7. All-Decade 1970s All-Stars

Conference: Mixed
Overall: 97
Inside Scoring: 78
Outside Scoring: 87
Athleticism: 88
Playmaking: 79
Defending: 81
Rebounding: 88
Intangibles: 72
Potential: 97
Best Overall Player: 99 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

The 1970s were a turbulent time for the NBA as there wasn’t much popularity and, therefore, money to foster the talent pool. Regardless of the challenges, this decade still produced some incredible players, and two examples include Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Dr. J (Julius Erving).

Both of these players get the high ratings they deserve, with Kareem getting a 99 and Dr. J getting a 97 overall. Dr. J obviously gets a 98 Layup and Driving Dunk rating, as well as top-class Outside Scoring and Athleticism stats. On the other hand, Kareem specializes in Inside Scoring through Post Hook and Post Control. His Rebounding and Defense ratings are also sky-high. Playing as these two on the same team creates a historic fictional duo.

The 1970s All-Stars also feature 97-rated Walt Frazier and John Havlicek. Frazier makes an excellent PG with brilliant playmaking and athleticism, and Havlicek is your man for long-range shots and defensive roles. So even though the 1970s All-Stars are the lowest-rated All-Decade team, they are still miles above the standard NBA teams.

8. All-Time Boston Celtics

Conference: Eastern
Overall: 96
Inside Scoring: 82
Outside Scoring: 85
Athleticism: 86
Playmaking: 81
Defending: 84
Rebounding: 77
Intangibles: 68
Potential: 96
Best Overall Player: 99 Larry Bird

The Boston Celtics are the most successful franchise in NBA history, thanks to their 18 NBA Championships. Their iconic green jersey has graced many legendary players. Leading the pack is the iconic Larry Bird, a prime example of an excellent small forward. His Outside Scoring stats are as good as it gets in NBA 2K, and he also has incredible defending abilities.

From the 1960s and ’70s All-Star teams, we get 96-rated Cousy and Havlicek. Unfortunately, Bill Russell doesn’t make it into the game even though he was previously rated 98 overall. This is likely due to legal issues dealing with his estate after his death in 2022. But you will still find iconic players like Jo Jo White, Robert Parish, and the more recent Paul Pierce.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown make the team as the modern stars of the Celtics. It’s fun to have these players step in and play amongst the historic players, but you may feel more comfortable with Bird and Havlicek in the same positions. Overall, this team will have you feeling right in the heart of the Boston Garden.

9. Western Conference All-Stars

Conference: Western
Overall: 95
Inside Scoring: 84
Outside Scoring: 90
Athleticism: 82
Playmaking: 90
Defending: 76
Rebounding: 63
Intangibles: 79
Potential: 98
Best Overall Player: 98 Nikola Jokic

Now we have the current Western Conference All-Stars placing low down on this list. Don’t let this ranking fool you, though, as this team is stacked with all the fan favorite players from this season. With no surprise to anyone, Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander lead the team with 98 overall ratings.

Jokic is a demon with both outside and inside scoring abilities. He also has 98 Draw Fouls, which is handy. Shai is your guy to set the plays up. His playmaking, combined with his athleticism and shooting abilities, makes him a versatile point guard.

The incredible lineup doesn’t stop there. Just below these two, you get LeBron, Curry, Davis, Durant, and a whole bunch more.

10. Eastern Conference All-Stars

Conference: Eastern
Overall: 94
Inside Scoring: 87
Outside Scoring: 85
Athleticism: 89
Playmaking: 82
Defending: 76
Rebounding: 61
Intangibles: 92
Potential: 95
Best Overall Player: 98 Giannis Antetokounmpo

Last but certainly not least, the Eastern Conference All-Stars are a team you can play as in NBA 2K25. With the dominant 98-rated Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the team, it’s not surprising that the Eastern Conference’s Inside Scoring rating is higher than the West’s. Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell, Jayson Tatum, and Karl-Anthony Towns were the other players selected as starters.

The Eastern Conference All-Stars have a higher Inside Shooting rating and higher Athleticism. It’s not surprising when looking at the lineup that this is the case. What is interesting is that both teams have a similar average in Defending. This is where you’ll notice a difference if you choose a Conference All-Star team against one of the All-Decade All-Stars.
